What is the OTO Awards?
Share
The Own-The-Over Awards are here to celebrate the people, clubs and communities who are shaping the future of women’s cricket. From players and captains to coaches and volunteers, the OTO Awards shine a light on the people who give so much of their time and energy to make cricket the incredible, welcoming game we know it can be.
But none of this would be possible without our amazing sponsors. Each sponsor believes in what we are building together and has stepped up to support the recognition of our players, our clubs and our volunteers. By working alongside them, we are making the women’s game more visible, more celebrated and more connected.
These awards are not only about lifting trophies. They are about lifting people. They show our players that their hard work matters. They remind our volunteers that every lift, every drive to training, every bag of bibs washed, and every fixture organised is seen and appreciated. They make our captains and coaches feel valued for the leadership they bring to their teams, both on and off the field. This is what makes cricket communities so special.
Let’s take a closer look at the brilliant sponsors who are helping us make all this possible:
🏏 Runs 4 Research (R4R)
R4R brings heart into cricket. The idea is simple but powerful. Players commit to donating small amounts for every run scored or wicket taken during the season. It might only be pennies at a time, but across the season it grows into something remarkable. Since starting, R4R has raised over £47,000 for Alzheimer’s Research UK. Every run and every wicket becomes more than a number on a scorecard. It becomes part of a bigger story of cricket doing good in the world.
🏏 Lacuna Sports
Cricket is about more than just runs and wickets: it’s about belonging, confidence and opportunity. That’s why having Lacuna Sports involved in the OTO Awards means so much. Lacuna was created to give women and girls cricket wear that truly fits, removing barriers so players can focus on their game, not their kit. By sponsoring the Under 18s Award, they’re backing the next generation of cricketers and showing young players that the game is theirs to own. Their support is a reminder that when we design with women in mind, we open the doors for more to step onto the pitch and thrive.
🏏 Her Game Too Cricket (HG2)
Her Game Too is leading the way in tackling discrimination and promoting equality in sport. They are a movement built on the belief that women and girls deserve to feel respected, included and valued in every part of the game. From building partnerships with clubs like Gloucestershire CCC and Western Storm to sharing the voices of women who have faced barriers, HG2 are helping us all do better. Their support of the OTO Awards means that role models across women’s cricket are given the recognition they deserve, inspiring the next generation to pick up a bat or ball with pride.
🏏 Mystery Cricket
Mystery Cricket brings a little fun and excitement into the game. Their mystery shirt boxes give fans the chance to grow their collections and show off their love of cricket in a unique way. You never quite know what shirt you will receive, and that is the magic of it. They have built a community of fans who love sharing their unboxings, swapping shirts and connecting with each other online. By supporting the OTO Awards, Mystery Cricket are reminding us that cricket is also about joy, creativity and community spirit.
🏏 Cricket Coffee Co
Every cricket community has those early mornings, long weekends and late nights. Cricket Coffee Co is there to fuel them all. Their ethically sourced and freshly roasted blends are made with care and come with beautiful illustrated labels that reflect the culture of sport. Whether you are brewing a pot at the clubhouse or pouring yourself a cup before a match, their coffee keeps the cricket spirit alive. Their support for the OTO Awards shows how even the smallest rituals, like sharing a coffee, help to build connection and belonging.
Why the OTO Awards Matter
The Own-The-Over Awards are not just about who wins on the day. They are about telling stories of community and togetherness. They celebrate the players who give their all, the coaches who nurture talent, the captains who inspire and the volunteers who make it all possible.
These awards show that women’s cricket is not just growing, its thriving. They remind us that behind every big win are the everyday heroes who make the game happen. By celebrating these people, we build stronger, happier and more connected cricket communities.
And thanks to our sponsors, we can make these stories more visible than ever before. They are helping us amplify the voices of women and girls in cricket, ensuring that their successes and contributions are shared far and wide. It is a partnership built on shared values of inclusion, joy and community.
So, let’s celebrate. Let’s cheer louder for the players. Let’s thank our volunteers even more. Let’s give our clubs and coaches the spotlight they deserve. With the OTO Awards and the support of our incredible sponsors, the future of women’s cricket looks brighter than ever.
