What are you doing to help Women & Girls thrive in Cricket?
Ammanford cricket club have a 5 year plan in place to develop women and girls cricket. In 2021 the club had one female playing member. The club now has a thriving women’s softball team with more than 20 members , an under 12 girls hardball team and an under 10’s softball team/ Dynamos girls team. More than 40 women and girls now regularly train and play at the club. In addition the club now has 5 female ECB qualified foundation coaches and 2 female ECB qualified core coaches as well as 2 female scorers.

What are you doing to protect Women & Girls in Cricket?
The club has appointed two female members to the committee including a women’s and girls lead and has implemented a 5 year plan to ensure the women and girls game thrives at the club. Renovations have taken place place of the female toilet facilities at the club to ensure the club house is a safe and welcoming place for female members. The club has organised internal training for all junior coaches / team managers / senior captains and committee members in relation to safeguarding and EDI so as to ensure that the club is a safe and inclusive place for every member of the local community.
