What are you doing to help Women & Girls thrive in Cricket?
We currently have 4 senior women's hardball teams playing league cricket. One of this teams is a Development XI designed to encourage girls to play senior cricket. The aims is to have 5-6 experienced senior hard ball cricketers on the field to support, nurture and encourage 5-6 girls as they take the step up to playing senior cricket. At the other end of the scale we have our 1st XI progressing year on year. In 2023 we made it to the national semi finals of the T20 Knockout, losing to the eventual runners up, Dorridge CC. In 2024 we had our first season in the Cheshire Women's Cricket League Division 1 finishing 4th.

What are you doing to protect Women & Girls in Cricket?
We've had a women's hardball team since 2019 and from the very beginning the committee has committed to the women's section having equal standing with the men's section. Women's training and matches are given the same standing as men's. We have a girls emerging pathway group to give them the coaching that they need to progress to senior cricket. We have a women's club development officer and senior women's coach for our most experienced and talented women and other coaches dedicated to the less experienced women who play for fun but want to improve and enjoy their cricket. We are not aware of any other club having 4 hardball teams playing league cricket.
