  • What are you doing to help Women & Girls thrive in Cricket?

3 years ago, we started a women & girls section that is now 30 strong. This year we have entered a softball team, to ensure we give women and girls a friendly and developmental space to enter the game. We also have entered a hardball league for the first time, for women and girls that want to develop their cricket further. Through school visits we've brought girls to the sport, who are now playing at county level and we couldn't be prouder of them. Our committee is so supportive of women's cricket, prioritising our matches on the main pitch sometimes over premier league 1st team could matches!

  • What are you doing to protect Women & Girls in Cricket?

We are protecting space for women and girls. We are giving girls an opportunity not only to play in mixed teams but also with our women so they have a safe environment with female role models. Our committee are committed to prioritising our space on the pitch and in leadership positions. We are looking at all our policies to ensure they are inclusive, such as mixed teams wearing non-white kit. We are also taking small actions, that make a big difference. Such as we have updated our scoreboard to reference 'batter' instead of 'batsman'.
