  • What are you doing to help Women & Girls thrive in Cricket?

Our women’s squad has been in place for 4 years and is now the heartbeat of our Club. The squad has gained recognition for their welcoming, inclusive culture along with some outstanding achievements on the field. We have grown from softball cricket to playing 3 formats of hardball (pairs, 35 over league and Hundred) while training/playing all year round. We are proud and lucky to have 5 women on our Club Committee.

We have taken a fresh approach to women’s cricket offering equal opportunities and access to both facilities and coaching. We also give our players the choice of playing women’s specific or mixed/open formats. We seek to offer cricket on multiple days of the week all year round to suit all circumstances. We keep costs low and look to provide kit and playing wear to ensure there is no cost of entry for beginners.

Our area of biggest growth is in youth cricket and we are excited to see the next generation emerge through our All Stars, Dynamos and under-11s programmes.

  • What are you doing to protect Women & Girls in Cricket?

By ensuring diversity and inclusion aren’t afterthoughts but are the fundamental purpose of our club. Everyone is welcome at our club and our differences are our greatest strength. We are so proud of our diverse and kind community. We are fully committed to representing the very best that Oxford has to offer both on and off the field. We haven’t had to fight to give women and girls opportunities, the club is united in this mission.
